Let me tell you a little bit about my story, I am originally from Central Illinois. I went to school to be a teacher and taught two years in a suburb of Chicago. I honestly thought I would spend my entire life in Illinois until I met a guy living in Arizona. I knew pretty quickly that he was the one. And to my own disbelief, I applied for jobs and moved out to Arizona. When we met, BC, told me told me two things, he had no intentions of getting married for five years and that he would never move back to Illinois. Both of which have proved to be true.
I am now a stay at home mom to two wonderful children. My daughter is six, she is just as headstrong and stubborn as she is sweet. And although she tests my patience on a daily basis, I know that she will never be talked into doing things she doesn't believe in and she one day she will move mountains. My son, on the other hand, is 100% boy. He is non-stop ALL OF THE TIME. He loves to talk, loves to scream, loves to run and is for the most part always happy. I am so very blessed to be their mom.
I have a slightly type A personality and a little bit of a control freak. I can't relax if my house is a mess, and yes I make my bed everyday. My friends think I am super creative, however, I rarely come up with an unique idea on my own. I am truly the person Pinterest was created for. I honestly hate to cook. It never fails that no matter what I make someone in my house usually complains. My husband usually cringes when I mention that we are having chicken for dinner, apparently chicken isn't supposed to be dry? Who knew. Actually I am just practicing for when I become a wedding caterer. Whatever, I could be serving them cereal.
I love living in Arizona, I love the weather, I love sunshine. I love that we can spend most of our time outdoors, even when its really hot. I love that we are only a few hours drive from the mountains, or from the beach. I never in a million years thought I would end up here, but it's where my story took me. And although we have no extended family here, I have some pretty amazing friends who fill that void quite perfectly.
We are really excited to start this blog to document our lives as mothers. No, life isn't always glamorous and easy, but we hope to have fun sharing how our story is written.
