Batman takes a trip to the Doctor

I know, I know, I have been very lucky, in my six years of parenting.  I have only had to deal with vomiting children twice.  That's pretty amazing, trust me I know how lucky I am... well, or was.

Friday, I was taking Briggs to the doctor, to have his ears checked out and on the way he started to cough.  The next thing I know, Stella is starting to scream.  When I look back Briggs has begun to get sick.  It was mild at first, so I kept driving, hoping to get to the doctors office before he did it again.  No such luck, as we were pulling into the parking lot, it's as if he coughed and puked from the depth of his soul.  So hard in fact, that I he hit me in the back of the head.  Yep, puke in the hair.  Does it get any better than that?

I immediately pull him out of the car and begin to clean him up.  I strip him down to his underwear and look for something to change him into.  (Have I mentioned, I am not one of those mothers who is always prepared with band-aids and an extra pair of clothes?)  The only thing we had in the car was his Batman cape.   So I did what any other mother would do, I took Batman to see the doctor.  After talking to the receptionist, over Briggs's tears, he begins to cry louder.  Only to inform me that he had went potty in his pants.  The thing is, he really didn't need to tell me this because I was holding him to my chest at the time...  I already knew :-(

They must have thought we were a hot mess because from the moment I step foot in the office, until I was out the door it was thirteen minutes.  Thirteen minutes in and out of the doctors office, that is a record.  It only took getting sprayed in the back of the head and the chest to get this accomplished.

Needless to say, I went home to take a shower and I sent dad to the pharmacy to his antibiotic for his ears.
